Modeling and response analysis of the attitude angles of roadheader for steep coal seam

This study presents a dynamical model of the attitude angles boom-type roadheader, to reveal response characteristics in steep coal seam. Based on Lagrange equation, roadheader is established, then simulation system constructed Simulink, solve model. Afterwards, calculating method cutting load proposed, formulate external loads during process. Focused seam, which dip angle 30°, solved, and solving results influenced by different factors are obtained. The show that, variations roadheader’s affected greatly load, while influence swing arm relatively slight. Among three angles, pitch varies most greatly, can reach up 9.1° 8.7° horizontal vertical process respectively. Finally, numerical verified experimental data. presented this paper, provide useful basis for prediction operating status rectification
